Almighty God, I thank and praise you for showering your real love on my life and in our world. Lord, our world today is suffering from war, violence, hate, bigotry, greed, and fear, because we don’t know to love.
Our broken relationships, loneliness, isolation, and anxiety come from not accepting what you have freely given us—real, authentic, and unconditional love.
Help me, God, to remember, that the price for my ability to love others, even the unlovable, has already been paid! And, the only way to thank you is by expressing your real love to everyone I meet, whether they look, think, or believe like me.
"This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins." 1 John 4:10 Amen!
