Today's good news is that self-love is a command of God!
Self-love is not egotistical, obsession with yourself while forgetting about others around you.
Self-love is walking, talking, and living in the powerful reality that you are created in the image of the same awesome God who made heaven and earth to bring beauty, creativity, and good into our troubled world. So, how do you love yourself if you struggle with how you look, what you have, how others see you,
what you have not accomplished, or what setbacks you have faced?
First: Check out God's word in Matthew 22:37-38 “Love the Eternal One your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is nearly as important, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” In other words, this scripture commands you to love God with your whole heart and then love yourself with that same energy and strength.
Second: Stop putting yourself down and doubting yourself. Affirm yourself every day by saying out loud, "God loves me, so do I, and I am more than enough."
