Today, there is so much focus on displaying the right image and reputation, especially on social media, that too few people think about having good character.
Reputation is the image, personality, or skills you shape that uniquely identifies you as the person you want people to see. Character is who you really are when nobody is watching! No matter what title, position you attain, or the label you wear, your character is always showing.
Character is formed early in life when you learn the difference between right and wrong, truth and a lie, or fair and unfair behavior you practice as you grow up. How do you change your character if it’s not what you know it should be? God’s word in Romans 12:2 says, "Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out." THE MESSAGE. Begin by asking God to take control of the reins of your life and show you the areas where you need to change. Make sure you surround yourself with high-character people, so you’ll be encouraged to practice the same high-character traits you want your life to reflect.
